my son was playing with my computer and has managed to change my display
screen to view horizontaly instead of vertically. Can anyone help me to
restore my screen back to a vertical view?

There are many possibilities to correct this situation. Check the buttons
on the front of the monitor. Check Monitor Properties in the Control Panel.
Check the Display settings. Try the Alt key + right or left arrow key on the
Numb pad. If all else fails, read the owners manual that came with your
PC for assistance. If you do not have a manual, do a Google search for it.

This is a feature of your video card, to support using a monitor that
works in portrait orientation. Try pressing Ctrl-Alt-Up Arrow (or
sometimes Ctrl-Shift-R).

It got that way because he hit that key combination by accident,
without realizing it.
