My son purchased this EX home edition, and we don't have
nearly as many options from the "start" button as before.?
How come, and can we restore all those options.
Also, I inserted my "A:drive" that held my resume and when
trying to print it, it came up with off set
print.,,, when I was

a little girl

i use to...

I don't understand this, or how to fix it! HELP!!!!!!

Did your other system have a completely different version
of the operating system installed? If it did, it was most
likely running different applications which are not part
of your existing installation. You might give a call to
the place where you bought the system and ask them which
operating systems include which applications. Then, if you
know exactly what's missing, you can find out how to
purchase those other applications.

Also, if all the data on your disk in your floppy drive
was created using one application (such as MS Word), and
is being read by another application (Wordpad, etc.) then
the formatting will likely be different.

Hope this helps.

Go to Start-All programs

XP lists the most frequently used applications - so you don't have to
navigate through a huge start menu to get to them.

Try saving it to the hard drive and using the word processing application
you have installed to open it, re-format it and then print.
