hey
have windows xp
lately it keeps hanging
ran ad aware ,mcafee in safe mode ..made no difference
i cant access any data ,music,folders or drives ..it hangs immediately
also sometimes have to start 6 times since it hangs during start u
too..
have 120 GB hard disk which is practically usesless becasuse of thi
problem..

Click Start, Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. If any files are damaged
or missing, they'll be replaced. You may need to reboot afterwards so
damaged files will be replaced.

Also run chkdsk.
