i have accidently deleted some WP files and emptied my recycle bin. is there
anyway to retrieve them? cheers.

If you're using Norton SystemWorks, you should have UnErase programs that you
can use.

If not, try some free utilities:

Note that as longer you use your PC the less chance you have to recover
these files.

What do you mean by WP files - WordPerfect by chance? Are these data files?
If so the first step is to stop using the computer until you try data
recovery. Deleted files are not removed from the hard drive, just their
space marked as available so the more the system is used, the greater the
chance they will be overwritten.
