I accidentally deleted all my pictures from the Picture Motion Browser on my
Computer AND I was so stupid I emptied the dust bin shortly afterwards!!! I
have downloaded the Diskeeper Programme but it's all about defragmenting and
I don't understand anything. I feel so frustrated and don't know what to do.
Please help! Can I retrieve all 150 pctures i deleted?

STOP using the computer immediately, power it down. Deleted files are
marked as overwritable, and every second you use the machine you reduce the
chance of recovering anything. If you downloaded a new program and
installed it, chances are you overwrote some of the files you want back.

If those pictures are on your C drive, and you only have one hard drive in
your system, you will need to remove the drive from the system and either
send it out or attach it to another system that has both sufficient space
for the recovered files, and data recovery software. This will be used to
scan the drive for deleted files and recover them to the host system.
Ensure that *nothing* writes to the drive under recovery, including the
System Restore monitoring function.

Most data recovery software has a demo mode that will tell you what it can
find before you pay to unlock it. This at least tells you where you stand
at a low cost.

Alternately, you can engage the services of a data recovery specialist.
This can work very well, but it isn't cheap; the lower price I usually get
for file recovery starts around CDN$1000.
