I HAVE NO TASKBAR (THE WEE STUPID THING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN). IT
IS NOT AT THE LEFT SIDE, IT HAD GONE . I REALLY NEED HELP ...NOW!!!!!
cheers

First make sure your Taskbar is not in 'Auto-hide' by right-clicking the
Start button and selecting 'Properties'. On the Taskbar tab make sure
'Auto-hide the Taskbar' is not checked. If that doesn't make it re-appear
then it's along one edge of your screen. It could be top or bottom or
either side. See if you can 'grab' it and drag it out of hiding.

1. Keep calm and please do not SHOUT.

2. Press the Windows key on your keyboard (or Ctrl+Esc) and observe
where the taskbar is actually located.

3. Move your mouse cursor to that edge of the screen and when the
cursor changes to a double-headed arrow press and hold the right mouse
button then drag about an inch towards the center of the screen and
release. The taskbar should be back in place.

Good luck

What happened when you tried Ron M's advice of pushing the [Ctrl] key
at the same time as pushing the {Esc} key, or the Windows key, if there is
one on your keyboard? Try to explain what happened so that someone who is
not looking at your screen can understand.

By the way, the taskbar is only at the bottom of the screen on a
default install, Windows gives you the option to customise it, I
prefer having mine at the top or right hand side and optioned as "always
on top" of other windows.
