Help!

Michael

Hey, dunno if you can help me or not.
I just recently re-installed Windows XP onto my computer
so as to wipe it free of viruses and adware.
Everything's cool except every so often a message will
appear that says:
The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Service unexpectedly
terminated.
Something to do with NT/Authority System.
It counts down from 60 seconds and then restarts my
computer. It happens at random and I can't stop it. I've
never seen anything like this before and I"ve re-
installed before. Can you help?

Oh Michael...you're not going to want to hear this...after you spent all
that time and effort wiping your hard drive free of viruses and reinstalling
everything: You've got a virus. The RPC Blaster virus, to be specific. You
can read all about it, and what to do, here:
http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/rpc.php.

.
The Internet is filled with friendly people but it is not a
friendly environment. If you don't actively protect your
computer you will NEVER have a stable operating system.
These sites explain some of the basics:
