Can anyone help with an annoying problem? When I double click on a link
or a newsgroup message, I get a brief red circle with a diagonal red
line running through it. Pretty annoying!!! incoming e-mails do not
open full screen; links are not accessed; just the brief, 1 second
flash of red circle obviously the universal symbol for NO or NOT
ALLOWED. But why all of a sudden? OS here is XP Professional; Firefox;
Thunderbird; I get on a website; find the download I require; click on
it; and the red circle again.....Please??

Do you have SP2?

You may have to enable Pop-ups for the particular site.

Check for messages at the top of the window, just below the address bar.
