Start>Run>type MSCONFIG>click OK>Startup tab>disable all programs you
do not want to startup at boot time. Click Apply and Close > reboot.
P.S. Do not disable your anti-virus program, if Norton, it will start with
NAV.
Point #1.. you replied to me when you should have replied to the OP..
Point #2.. many users have no idea what to stop when looking in the MSCONFIG
startup list.. it is probably better that they do it with program
preferences.. at least they will know what is not going to start up..
