That's what you get with copy-protected products. You risk being
screwed with no solution.

Here is a suggested solution as posted by MVP Rick "Nutcase" Rogers

******
Hit F8 as the system first boots to load Safe mode. Logon as
administrator.

Start/run regsvr32 regwizc.dll
Then start/run regsvr32 licdll.dll

If this doesn't help try these steps:

Start/run regedit. Delete the following keys:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers

Exit the registry editor, restart normally.

******

Hope this is of some assitance.

Good luck

That's what I like about you Kurt - always ready to throw an anchor to

The anchor is Product Activation, not anything I'm throwing Ron.

Activation is just a waste of time, until it breaks. Then MS should be
financially responsible for every single error!

Thank you Ron for the help, but this solution don´t work for me, cause no
chance to sign in. Perhaps next time with remote access!?!?

For other with the same problem, this work for me:

- A in-place upgrade -> drive letter were wrong.
- Correct this in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
- A second in-place upgrade.

What i´am angry about, there was a solution in the MS-Database, but only the
link to it, the page was not available. So i write a info to MS about this,
and what happen: They delete the link too.
