i know ive done something that has screwed up the .zip
files because each time i download a .zip file now, it
immediately thinkis that it is needing Windows Media
Player insted of asking me to find what program it would
be best suitable to open it in or to automatically open
it in the correct program but it just goes into Windows
Media Player whatever the file, whether it be video file,
text, etc, it will not let me open it in anything else
but Meida Player. Can someone help me before its too late
please? thanks

Easy fix, right click on a .zip file, select open with,
select your unzip program, check the always open with box.

Even easier, download WinZip or Zip Genius and when it
installs it will associate with all the compressed files.

Help has info on file associations and how to set/change
them.
