Ok i admit i made a mistake and now i have to find out how to sort it out
hopefully with a little help from you guys.
I bought a new Tower an Acer T180 with windows vista all runs well and
whilst i was on another website i read that i should of done some kind of
back up of vista before i installed anything, after reading this i went and
checked the software i that came with the PC and guess what I have no Vista
Backup Disc and theres no Certificate(sticker) on the PC tower like XP has?
Question is it possible to make a back up now or do i have to buy Vista again?
theres around 45GB in use so a full backup isnt really feasable..

Many thanks in advance

Contact Acer and ask for a Vista disk. They may have a "Restore"
partition on the hard drive that is used to restore the machine to
"factory condifion".

Where did you buy it? I'm concerned that the sticker isn't there. It's
supposed to be on every legitimate machine.

Hi Hank thanks for your reply
I found the sticker stuck on the side of the tower where i couldnt see it.
The PC is genuine as it was bought factory new from a reputable dealer.
I will contact Acer again and hope they answer this time..

Thanks again

Update
Made four phonecalls and guess what you dont get a recovery CD,why not??
because you have to make your own, theres a prog on the PC that allows you to
make your own, now to me that is daft as you no longer have an authorised
recovery CD only a copy which defeats the idea of having Original CDs with
the Microsoft logo ect..I wonder what will happen if i upgrade the PC and
then need to reinstall Vista?? after all the CD will have all the info on for
this PC and its hardware,i guess i will just have to wait and see..

funny thing is we bought a laptop two months later and that came with a
recovery CD?
