help with software installation - please

I have XP and encountering this problem for the first time. I am
not able to install a program since I am asked to 'first close my
running web browser'. I have nothing running and checked with the
Task Manager (cntrl/alt/del). Any help appreciated. Thank you in
advance.

You cannot install some updates or programs:

What program is it and does the system is up2date and clean?.
