Help with shared permissions

i have a desktop with xp pro simple file sharing disabled, also th edesktop
has one user account called Roger, i have a Notebook with xp pro simple file
sharing disabled with one account called Shawna.

what i want do do is have the notebook access some shares on the desktop and
vice-versa and deny everyone else on the network

i cant seam to add shawna account and give permission on the desktop i can
add a account but then she can login on the desktop computer i dont want that

what do i do to add a username from another computer to the shares on my
desktop??

Roger,

With non-dimain ("workgroup") authentication, the best you can do is have an
identical account on both the client and the server, with identical (or blank)
password on both. You'll have to setup Shawna on both computers, disable local
access on the desktop using Control Panel - User Accounts, then enable Shawna
for network access using "net user".
