I am trying to set up an ATI AIW 9600 with something that works but I am
having troubles I have never had before with any of the dozen or so ATI
cards I have owned. I have this card installed on an Intel D845GBV main
board with P4 2.4 GHz 2 Gigs DDR Ram. I decided to remove 9.13 and go back
to 9.08 but when I run cat-uninstaller I get an error that no hardware can
be found and it seems the uninstall process is aborted. In control panel
Add/Remove I see ATI Decoder and ATI DVD. Neither of these can be removed
and 'Unable to detect ATI hardware' error appears once again. If I install
software at this point when I run MMC it crashes Can anyone please tell me
the process of getting things right again? I reseated the card(AGP) but I
still get the hardware message. Can someone point me to any Registry keys I
need to remove, is that the trick? I am not even sure if this card is the
best choice and I almost bought any other one today but I still would be
with the same removal problem.
Anyone with some help with this beast?
