Hi
Can any kind newsreader help me with my pen drive problem I seem to be
going from bad to worse. I am running windows xp so no drivers are
required . It was originally working . Now when I put the pen in the USB
port go to my computer click on Removable Disk (G) it says please
insert disk into drive G.. When I right click on the drive and choose
format it says there is no disk in drive G insert a disk and try again.
Any info I have on the driver disk for WIN 98 is in Chinese . Any help would
be much appreciated.

REGARDS KENNY

MAYBE your pen drive went bad. Search online for data recovery software and
see if you can recover your documents and stuff from it.

In my opinion, your pen drive is dead, but thats just my opinion. See if the
manufacturer has any kind of update for it. If its under warranty then maybe
you can get a new one.

It appears to be reading it as a disc drive rather than a hard drive cant
find the warranty

Seen one like this a while ago.

XP is recognising the fact that there is a device on the connection but it can't determine what it is.

The fact that the problem transfers to another machine when you swap the drive clearly suggests to me that the pen-drive has seen better days.

I'm not sure if anyone has had any success in recovering data from these damaged drives, so if you find anything out, please post to let us know.

Good luck.
