Help with MS Word 2000

All of the sudden when I attempt to bring up MS Word 2000 it loads half way
then crashes saying it encountered an error and needs to close. I've
downloaded and installed all the required updates and it still crashes. I
attempted to reinstall Word 2000 and I got the following message: "Error
1919. Error configuring ODBC data source: MS Access Database, ODBC error 6:
Component not found in the registry. Verify that the file MS Access Database
exists and that you can access it."

Please help me

This newsgroup deals with Microsoft Access, a relational database
application. While someone on this NG "might" have some info on this, your
best bet is to try one or more of the Word newsgroups.

Try uninstaling access and re-instalilng it again, then make sure the
following registery settings are set like the following (taken from
access help)

The \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\ODBC folder
contains initialization settings for the Microsoft Jet database
engine.

Note Typical settings for the entries in the Jet\4.0\Engines\ODBC
folder are shown in the following example.

LoginTimeout=20

QueryTimeout=60

ConnectionTimeout=600

AsyncRetryInterval=500

AttachCaseSensitive=0

AttachableObjects='TABLE','VIEW','SYSTEM TABLE','ALIAS','SYNONYM'

that dosnt work or help you at all
