Access Error Message - Error 1919

Joan

I receive the following error message upon installation
of P.C. version Microsoft Office XP software:

"Access Error Message - Error 1919. Error configuring
ODBC data service. MS Access Database, ODBC error 6:
Component not found in the registry. Verify that the
file MS Access Database exists and that you can access it."

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software and still
receive this message. I'm using Windows 2000 Professional
operating system, and have downloaded all the Windows
Updates and Service Paks, including the ones for Office XP.

When I go into Access and begin to work on my database,
some of the icons are grayed out. I'm a seasoned user and
use the software extensively and have not had this problem
in the past. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this
issue?

Hi everybody.

I got the same problem.
All was correct on my computer until I installed a Panda software. The
installation failled and since, my ODBC drivers are wrong.

I followed the procedure described here
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=324520

Now, I don't get the 1919 error anymore but the following:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers: Le pilote spécifié n'a pas été
chargé en raison de l'erreur système 126 (Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)).

Anyone with an idea ?

thanks a lot
