help with logging user logins

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knew of an easier way of tracking
user account logins besides filtering it through the event
viewer. The server is very slow and this is troublesome.
Is there a 3rd party util to help with this?

You could create a logon script which logs the user name, logon time, server
it validated on etc to a file located at a central location or on the
DC?......

Also you can use eventcomb to look through event logs for specific events
rather than using event viewer...... this will probably be faster and easier
to do....

Can get eventcomb from the account lockout tools, downloadable from
http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/f/0/1f0e9569-3350-4329-b443-822976f29284/ALTools.exe
