I just installed a new motherboard with on-board LAN. Reinstalled XP Pro. I
am now "online" through my "local area connection" at bootup, even without
signing in to my ISP ( although I CAN sign in...and if I do, I get TWO
connectoid icons in the systray: one for the local ara connection and one
for my ISP). I liked the way my system behaved before this new install...I
could control internet access. Now my computer just goes online by itself.
Help please! And thanks!

It seems that I reinstalled my broadband connection without disconnecting my
wireless router. Things are OK since I deleted my connection, disconnected
the router, and made a new connection with the DSL modem directly...then
reconfigured the router.
