help with internet connection

Neil G Jarman

Hi,

I have SBS 2000 here.

I have a broadband connection which works perfectly on my laptop.

I have the SBS connected to this via a 2nd NIC.

All other PCs are connected to primary NIC on a different subnet.

I can get internet on server for a few seconds and then it gives up - page
cannot be displayed etc. At this time laptop is fine, so i KNOW there is no
problem with internet connection.

I used Internet Connection Wizard to set this up and have re-run it a few
times in the hope that I/it made a mistake.

Also cannot send or receive emails or get to newsgroups via server.

Also cannot get to internet from workstation at any time.

I am familiar with 2000AS but never encountered ISA before.

Any ideas please?

Neil

Can you post the ipconfig/all from the server?
Have you checked the bindingorder of the nics and made sure the internal one
is on top?
Check the LAT in ISA and make sure the external IP-range is not in there.
Make sure the users are in the Backoffice Internet Group and that they have
the Firewall client installed.

Thanks for the tips.

I can't check them until Tuesday.
