Help with Frontpage 2002 navigation bar

S

Simon Bullen

Hello all being new to front page I am a little baffled. I have created a
small web site with a navigation bar running through all the pages; the
navigation bar was created on the home page as a shared border so as
expected it shows on all pages.
The problem being that one of the navigation bar images does not show and
instead displays the text relating to the button with a small red cross even
though all the other buttons appear and work fine, all the navigation
buttons images are present when viewing the web from within frontpage but as
soon as they are published the navigation button image disappears.
Anyone any suggestions?

Post a URL to the site w/ the problem page
- make sure the file name does not include spaces or punctuation

The address of the website in question is www.nifcoeu.com (index.htm)
As for the file name's these were all generated by frontpage using standard
themes (Artic) and as far as I can tell they don't have any spaces though
the file names that frontpage generates are long... with spaces between
words replaced by underscores(_'s).

Contact your host for the correct home page file name to use
Strange thing is any attempts to try http://www.nifcoeu.com/index.html redirects me to
http://www.elta-plastics.co.uk/index.htm

Hi Stefan,

I am not sure what is happenning when you are trying to access
http://www.nifcoeu.com/index.html as index.html is not a valid page name.
Elta Plastics Ltd was the companies previous name and hence is still a valid
domain.

Any who I have solved the problem, the issue was due to the ISP's servers
being a UNIX file system and hence file names are case sensitive and it
turns out that frontpage had generated the image name it was all in
lowercase however the HTML for the navigation bar was referencing the file
with a uppercase letter midway through the file name.

P.S. is there anyway of looking at the HTML source code that the navigation
bar is made up from when it's inserted on the page, as I cannot see it by
looking at the HTML view in frontpage with the page open where the
navigation bar was inserted.
