help with frames

P

Pam

I just took over maintaining a site that has a frame on ONE page of the
site - http://www.olivetreeoutreach.com click on ARTICLES and that page
should (and did) have the top frame with the shofar and drop down box and
then a bottom frame with the listing of articles. Now the bottom frame is
missing - although it shows up in the design view in fp2003 (don't know what
the site was originally designed in). Everything works great except this
page.

In design I have clicked on the bottom part of the page and went to edit
frame and the link for that page pdf/blank.htm is there - looks good to me.
I've even tried putting in the whole url address - that doesn't work
either - after publishing, I still only get the top frame with the Shofar
Sounds.

Now if you CLICK on the return to article index - then you get the page that
is supposed to be on this page...

does any of that make sense? if it does, please let me know what I'm doing
wrong, or how to get both pages to show up in this 2frame page

Hi Pam,

Unfortunately, we can't click anything. The URL you gave doesn't correpsond
to a web address.

Chances are, your problem lies with the URL of the bottom frame. Make sure
you have a web opened when working on individual pages in order to give
FrontPage a context for creating links.

It's at http://www.olivetreeoutreach.org/

The frameset is there
But I highly recommend you set the PDFs to open in a new window so they don't break your frames (target="_blank")

Check your targets for the top frame (should be _top not _parent for Home)
The bottom frame link (Return to Articles should be target="main" not target="mainFrame"
And the dropdown does not work because your frame name is also wrong
