Help with File Hyperlink

I have created a template in excel. I have linked it into my Front Page
website. When you say "open the file" it will allow the user to modify the
..xlt file. Is there anyway to prevent this? I want them to be able to view
the file or to save it to their own directory but not modify the main one.
Your help is appreciated!

They shouldn't be able to modify the one on your web site unless you give
them your FP username and password.

well, they will only be opening a copy anyway (they'd need your
username/password to directly edit and save your copy on the server)....so
your copy is safe.

However this relies on them having Excel in the first place.
