Help with Dpv.exe error

Hi folks,

I placed a question yesterday but can't find it anymore.

The problem is that I can't get my mic to work.

Wjhen I do the hardware mic test I get an error message:errorcode 0x80004005
Then when I click ok it sayes: Windows cannot execute Dpvsetup.exe use
add/remove programs controlpanel to install.

What is this ?
How do I deal with this problem?
Im the administrator and owner of this computer that runs with XPhome
edition.
It has worked before I had to format my harddisk.
All other programs work normally, PLEASE HEEEELLLPPP???!!!!
