I just finished putting together a machine with the following:

ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard
intel core2 duo e4500 2.2ghz oem
e-geforce 8500gt graphics card
400 watt power supply in the antec sonata II
2 gig PC5400 DDR2 667MHz
Seagate 320GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-3G

Everyting runs, led's lit, the heatsink, the fan, the cd rom, the
graphics card fan spins, monitor feels like its virbating - doing
something, but i cant get anything to display on the monitor ...

Any ideas? Those are the only componenets plugged in for now while
im troubleshooting...

Is this one plugged in ? Note the two yellow wires and the two black
wires. This plugs in near the CPU somewhere. It powers the CPU.

You won't get a beep code from the computer case SPKR, unless the
processor has got power. Once the ATX12V is connected, you should
hear one beep from the computer case speaker. They beep once
"for success", so you know the speaker is connected.

If you get some other beep code, that indicates a RAM or video
failure. If the RAM and video are working, further errors may show
as text messages on the BIOS screen on your monitor.

Make sure your speaker (SPKR) is connected to the PANEL header,
otherwise you won't be able to listen for the beep pattern. No
beep pattern, means no BIOS code got executed. In which case,
check for power. Modern motherboards now have two power connectors.

this is probable not it, but I found this:
a.. Requirements
a.. Minimum of a 350 Watt power supply.
a.. (Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 18
Amps.)

Also, some cards have a power connector on them, but I wasn't able to
determine if yours has one. My nephew had a similar problem and it turned
out to be he hadn't plugged the power cord into the video card.
