Two suggestions:
1. Run the System File Check program. Start/Run/type in "cmd" and click
"OK". In the Command Prompt window, type "sfc /scannow" then press the
keyboard "Enter" key. Dig out your XP CD and keep it handy in case the
program requests it. This tool checks for the presence of required system
operating files and will restore missing/corrupted files from the CD.
2. To install/reinstall MSN Explorer, Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove
Programs/ on the left side; click "Add/Remove Windows Components"/scroll
down to "MSN Explorer"/what to do is obvious from there.
