Hello All,
I am using Win XP / Office XP.
I have a Worksheet with Data in Col A. The data is in non contingous form..
with Data Rows seperated by a single blank row.. going down upto 46000+ rows

I wish to transfer this data in a single column table in MS Word. How can
this be achieved. I tried copy pasting but Word crashes. I tried to find a
solution on the NG but did not succeed.

Can anyone help me with this.

TIA

Hi
this is probably more a Word related question. You have probably
exceeded the maximum of allowed columns in MS Word. So I doubt this
task is possible in MS Word

I have pasted over 55,000 rows in one shot. The trick is to paste as Paste
Special>Unformatted text, then apply Table>Text to Table formatting. Worked
for me, anyhow.

Hi Ed,
I posted the reply couple of days back.. but I dont see it on the NG. So I
am posting again.
Your trick works as far as Paste Special.. When I try to convert the Text to
Table it gives an error... It shows a single column table with minus 18000
rows.
I pasted 46000 rows and u succeded in pasting 55000 rows. But did u convert
those 55000 rows to a Table

How can I rectify this?

Rashid
