Hi, could somebody help with the following in Word 2002
sp3 the auto save facility appears to have had its backup
file extension hijacked. Although the file associations
still have wbk as a word back up file each time word
autosaves the extension given to it is asd an asf stream
description file. I have tried the auto repair tool
without success and the support .dot file which allows
reseting the registry entry which it says it has done, but
this still makes no difference. Whilst not a major problem
because one can change the extension back to wbk in the
event of a crises. it would be good to solve this.
regards
Doug

The .asd files are those created by AutoRecovery; they are not the same as
your .wbk files. For more, see
