HELP - Wireless Internet Access

Im running a dual boot system (Win ME / Win XP). I have a
wireless Linksys Router connected to an ISDN modem.
Running winME I can connect to and run windows Update,
but in WinXP I cant. I can still connect to the internet
but quite a few web sites wont work. I have disabled my
firewall but still no. Also MSN Messanger wont work on
either windows versions.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.

(Windows Update error code was 0x80072EE2 if that means
anything to anyone !!)
