help Windows XP (KB920342) won't install

I have tried to update the following file as recommended by xp
autoupdate. But it has failed.

Update for Windows XP (KB920342)

I have also just failed to install Security Update for Office 2003
(KB924424) for the 1st time as well.

MS support has no help files relating to failure of install.

some pc's are better off with some updates.

so there is free technical help for update issues.
look for the email/link somewhere on those update
pages. There you can open up a ticket and
get direct assistance for a microsoft certified
expert/employee.....
