Help!! Windows won't shut down

When I'm done with it and try to shut it off it goes through the usual
functions until I get "windows
is shutting down" screen and it just sits there and refuses to shut
down. I end up unplugging it and
then plug it in again to try and shut it down. Any ideas on why it
won't shut down and what I can
do to fix it? Thanks.

uh....
doesn't the power button let
you turn it off.

some people don't know this
but you need to press the button
for a little bit until you can hear
the system turning off.
