I had posted this question a few times but the answers i got does not help solve my problems. I had a trojan invaded. It cause my windows to pop up all over the place anytime I'm online, and have had my home page taken over several
times. I downloaded a trojan remover and managed to remove it. Now another problem surfaced. Everytime i start my com an error will appear saying windows explorer experienced a problem and need to close. Is it because after removing the trojan it damages some of mine windows files? Can anyone Knows how to solve the " windows explorer error"? can anyone knows how to restore the damaged files

Even though you removed the virus, you already have the damage it done, even
though the virus that caused the damage is gone. What virus software are you
running..?

Check your system for "hijackware":

Dealing with Hijackware

http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm#tshoot
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

CoolWebSearch Chronicles & CWShredder
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html

Run in this order:

1. CWShredder (fix all)

2. Ad-Aware (fix all)

3. Spybot (generally, fix all in red)

Important: You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each
and every use, even "right out of the box". But even they can't catch
everything, 24/7. When all else fails, HijackThis
(http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or
http://forum.mvps.org/viewforum.php?f=30 for expert analysis, not here.**

[Alternate download pages for many of the above tools may be found at
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.]

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?

Try 'Diagnose Windows' at http://www.SeeMeMe.com/diagnose.htm, it can
scan all opening TCP/UDP port and tell you which process is opening
these port, it is very easy to find the trojan. Also you can ask them
to customize a special removal tool for you if you are not sure how to
remove malware.
