help w/everything

I have a compaq presario notebook model # c557cl nb compaq c55.It comes
preinstalled w/software
I need to learn to use. 1st, there is microsoft office word 2007. I went
to the website to find the
product key, a 25 character item (cd key?) to access and use the software
for letters and manuscripts.
failure to employ the Product key the website says will cause me to lose
this valuable software. Microsoft
Office is also installed. To use it I have to sign an agreement. That's ok
as long as I can type letters and
other documents. Then what's the point of the word 2007? With all these
features preinstalled, i.e. Norton
(that's ok and it also has windows security), eBay, MSN, microsoft
powerpoint (I need to learn to use and
something I want to keep), the music, tv, radio (except I don't know how to
hook up the Npr-what I want to
listen to, don't know and can't find the call letters for the local NP
R station), burning dvds and cds I can do,
e-mail I can do just need tips on attachments i.e. adding photos and
articles to e-mail and sending it. I did
it following the instruction/prompts, but don't know what i did. Some of
this stuff says 60 day trial period
what does that mean? I registered the product and that extended the trial
period another 30 days. What
happens after that, besides having to pay for technical support? Do I still
have the use of all these prein-
stalled features. All of this is worrisome to me. Mainly I guess I'm
asking how can I access this software
and use it. And, will it cost to use it later on? I've used the photo copy
to print photos and send an E-mail
w/the phot attached successfully and I don't have a clue what I did so I can
do it again. Inspite of all
I'm getting a thrill trying to figure it out and learn. After this I need
to find a tutor (I checked the web
site for on-line classes, what I got were demos, video lesson for 2 minutes
and nothing) to learn to
use microsoft word and powerpoint and after that how to crate a web page
etc, etc. Where do I
start. Help. Thank you.

You've reached a newsgroup dedicated to helping folks with specific
questions about Microsoft Access, the relational database product.

Your post would seem to be misplaced (perhaps you want to try an "Office"
newsgroup). Your post is also quite general -- "help w/everything" may not
get as many responses as more specific questions.

One step at a time is the way to do it. You'll never learn all of that all
at once. Decide what you want to figure out first and concentrate on that.
If you've got some kind of local community college they will almost
certainly offer very cheap evening classes where you will get lots of help.

And don't worry, it's only a box full of metal and plastic, it isn't
important.
