HELP! video does not play on projector

I have a problem making a video play on my presentation/projector...
it plays fine on my laptop while the projector is connected but it
doesnt project/show thru the projector. the connections are properly
connected... Im using PP 2000 with XP home edition.
appreciate some feedback....
