HELP. Uninstall XP dual boot with vista on seperate drive

Ddid the normal dual boot install with xp & vista a long time ago. Now I have
got vista running just how I want it I want to get rid of the dual boot and
old hard drive. Set up is as follows - Primary IDE (boot) WindowsXP. Vista
installed on seperate SATA drive. If I change the boot order to boot from my
SATA drive it stops as it is looking for the boot on my IDE drive. How can I
get vista to boot on its own. Any help would be gratefully received.

With the SATA as the first drive in boot order, run Start-Up repair from the
Vista install DVD. Some BIOS will still not get it right and you may have
to disconnect the IDE. Also, sometimes it is necessary to run the Start-up
repair more than once.

Use this program to fix the boot up error. For information on how to use,
refer to their help files or online documentation.

I had the same problem as you, and this program has save me -more than once-
from having to reinstall Vista all over again.

It edits the BCDEDIT (Vista boot loader) using a GUI interface instead of
the lame command line.

I think I replied to the "reply" instead of to this post directly. Please see
the my other post.

Also, check out this link for an easy program to use. It has helped me out
on more than one occasion:

Please refer to their help files or to their message boards for specific
direction on how to use it.
