I have a dual boot configuration with vista home premium and vista Enterprise
installed on a seperate hard drive.

How can I uninstall Vista Enterprise from the other drive and keep the home
premium?

Thanks

Hi, Carl.

In Disk Management in Vista Enterprise, which partition is identified as
"System"? In Vista Home, which one has the "System" label in DM?

If both Vistas show the System partition on the first HD, then all you
really have to do is unplug - or reformat - the second HD. DM can reformat
it for you. Then Enterprise will be gone and the only thing left to do is
delete it from the start-up option menu. Or leave it in the menu but use
MSConfig.exe to start from Home with zero delay, effectively ignoring any
other option in that opening menu.

If Home shows the System partition on the second HD, then removing that
second HD will leave you unable to boot. In that case, you will need to
boot from the Vista DVD and Repair the startup environment on the first HD
to make it bootable. Then you can remove the second HD, as above.

We don't actually "uninstall" Vista. Just reformat or remove its boot
folder (\Windows). Then any minor cleanup, such as removing it from the
startup menu. Then we can reformat and reuse that second HD.
