Help! Unable to Setup Microsoft Windows Network

K

Katmandu

I have (2) PCs (both running XP) that are currently running behind a
router. Both are running fine and access the Internet (via Cable modem) with
no problems.

I'm trying to setup a Network so I can transfer files between these (2)
PCs.

So far, I have been successful on installing the Microsoft Windows Network
on (1) PC.

I've tried every configuration possible on the other PC can't seem to get
MWN installed.

What do I need to do ???

TIA!

Ok, apparently I have some Services shutoff and/or disabled.

I started enable/starting any Services I thought may have to do with
Networking. I was able to get Microsoft Windows Networking to appear, but it
STILL is NOT functioning fully.

It is NOT showing folders/files on this PC. The other PC (with the working
MWN) does show the folders/files.

What Services does Microsoft Windows Networking depend on to function
properly ??

TIA,

ERIC
