I recently updated my computer from Windows NT to XP
In the past I could drop and drag from my Outlook 2002 to
a "C" drive file and it would always save it, It would
give the name a (1), (2),(3),ect... if the subject name
was the same.
Now if the name is the same it overwrites the old file
with the new one and there is no way to reverse the
process. I have lost very important files, because of this
problem. My customer & project folders have to many files
saved to verify if the subject name could be the same and
no time to do "save as" for everything.
I have search through the help files, my company IT
experts don't know how to fix this either.
Can some help me?
Karen

Before you drag and drop, make the old file folder Read only, by right
clicking on it, click properties and select Read Only.
