HELP - System Unusable

From Performance_Maintenance NG
A Vista Home Premium, SP1 Compaq notebook was infected by
FunWebProducts adware and it was removed using MalwareBytes and
SuperAntiSpyware.

Prior to removal, Scroll bars didn't work, combo-boxes (like in ALL
Programs) and Drop-down boxes -- all were "unstable" or just flat
didn't work. Also, backspace key was ignored. Had to use mouse to
select text and over-type it.. The symptoms have not changed.

Unable to run System Restore -- cannot open Accessories|System Tools
because of program list troubles.

This affects all windows. IE, WE, FireFox, etc.

Guidance appreciated.

Lists in combo-boxes, drop-down boxes, All Programs, "oscillate"
between what you're trying to select and the top-most entry in the
list. It's not possible to open System Tools because of this. It's
not possible to open much of anything in Control Panel. I'm unable to
run SFC from a DOS box -- need administrator rights and can't seem to
get them for a DOS box.

The system is unusable as is.

Suggestions please...

Type cmd in Start's search box and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter. This will get you
to a command window in administrative mode. Then do as you please - such as
sfc /scannow

Thanks Tyro, that's gotten me started.
I couldn't even use HELP because of this. :(
Vertical Scroll bars just reset to the top of the window.
Running SFC now. Thanks...

SFC found nothing.
Using that CMD box, I finally navigated to the system restore app and
started it. It's taken a lot of work but I finally selected a restore
point back in December and am trying to use it. It's very difficult
to select anything other than the initial item in a drop-down box
because it keeps resetting to the top of the range. Sorting the list
in reverse is sometimes helpful but not in this case.
Hopefully, this restore point (it's a scheduled checkpoint) will get
us back into operation.
