Hi folks,
My computer can't boot into Safe Mode. It's always STUCK
when running "atisgkaf.sys" (Path: system32/drivers/). It
seems running a endless loop.

I have tried to find out a solution for several days, but
the problem is still there.

Does anyone have any idea to solve the problem?

Thanks a lot

Hi,
Thaks for quick reply.
Yes, the system can boot into Safe Mode with Enable VGA.
But is it a problem because the system still can't boot
into normal Safe Mode?

Thanks

Use Enable VGA mode to Uninstall your Video Driver. Then
Uninstall the Display Adapter from Device Manager. On the
next "normal" boot, it will be re-enumerated and use XP's own
native Driver, until you download the latest from the vendor's
website.

Hi,
I have tried to remove the ATI's utility, driver, and
display adapter as suggested; however, the problem is
still there. The system is stuck in Safe Mode when
running "stisgkaf.sys."

Any other suggestion?

Thanks

I did a cursory search for that driver component and couldn't
get a match. You can try to boot to Safe mode again. Once in
run search for stisgkaf.sys. Hopefully, search will only find a
single instance of the file. Right Click on it, and choose rename.
Just back out the .Sys and replace with .Org or any string you
can remember. Shutdown and & Reboot to normal mode this
time it will not be able to load this file.

Hi,
I do appreciate about your patience with this problem.

I deleted the original file, and unfortunately, the
system hung on another file "tiumflt.sys" during its
booting to Safe Mode (Path: system32\drivers\). Seems
this file is preceded by "stisgkal.sys"

I hope the solution can be found soon since I have spent
a lot of time dealing with it.

Thanks
