help sound setting lost in start/shutdown in xp home

Hi all , i'm new here i've lost my custom sound in the sound configuration
for the start and shutdown (i mean i see the sound choosed in the windows
but when i reboot i cant hear a sound) this is strange because all other
sound work fine (the sound for crititical error for example)... has anyone
had the same probel before?

Have these sounds ever worked for you as start\shutdown sounds in XP?
