Help! Server Down

Troubleshooting "NTLDR missing" error on Dell PowerEdge 4400 running Windows
2000 Server SP4. Cannot boot either with floppy or CD because I am missing
the miniport driver for PERC 3/di.

I have scoured Dell site and Googled all over but no joy.

Has anyone got a copy or know where I can download one?

Please save me from "dead-meat-Monday"!

Thanks, Dave.

I had actually found that one and thought it was not the miniport driver.
It is alright, but I am still unable to boot from a floppy . I got:

"Window s 2000 could not start bcause of a computer disk hardware
configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check
boot partition and disk hardware."

Here is the boot.ini:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
Default= scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt

[operating systems]
scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\winnt="Windows 2000 Server"

System is on a mirrored pair and is on drive C:. Is this boot.ini correct?

Cheers,
Bill

miniport driver??? Doesn't look right. When you use scsi syntax it indicates
that Windows 2000 will load a boot device driver and use that driver to
access the boot partition. Then you must also copy the correct manufacturer
SCSI, or raid driver to the floppy but renamed to ntbootdd.sys

Yes, that is what I did for the floppy disk but still got the error. Windows
Setup is happy with the driver as is when you specify additional drivers...

You might try this one.

[boot loader]
timeout=10
default=scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 0,1"
scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Windows 2000 0,2"
scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2000 1,1"
scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Windows 2000 1,2"
