Help Request Re. Registry Recovery on Boot-Ups

Most of the time when I boot up my PC with WinXP Pro. I get a window (as
windows finalizes loading) that is titled "Windows - Registry Recovery" and
says "One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be
recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful."

I have tried "System Restore" (twice, going back further the 2nd time) and
the problem still occurs.

In a month, this has probably happened 20 times. What can I do to fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.

You've probably got something running that's corrupting a registry entry
when it runs or perhaps it's not exiting properly and it's corrupting then.

The good news is that Windows is able to repair the registry each time.
You'd be in worse shape if it didn't repair.
