HELP!!! Recovering deleted items from Desktop.

I really GOOFED this one! I was in DOS and attempting to delete an item on
my desktop called "noname." that had no association and would not allow a
move, delete or rename. Anyway, I deleted the file and when it did it also
deleted several additional files/folders. In XP the undelete command is no
longer valid.
Since this occured I have only been looking for a resolution. So hopefully
the files have not been overwritten.

Can someone PLEASE assist me in recovering these items??

Recycle bin ? ( No flack please - I don`t use DOS )

Thanks but NO... That only works in a gui OS not DOS.

you might try
a file recovery
program like:
recuva

or

try a restore point
via safemode
