Help profile sizing.

Help!
I need some info on how to change my profile size settings.
We have a group policy that sets the profile size to the
max size 30 meg. I am needing to increase thi to 50 or 60
meg. How do I do this. I have a java app that is dumping
28 meg in to doc and set in each users profile.
the first solution is to get them to rewrite were that
dumps to and point there app to that location other than
docs and settings. can anyone guide me how to increase
this.

You are likely better off splitting My Documents from the rest
of the profile -- not only will you get much better control of
size, you will almost certainly improve logon performance.

(GPOs can do this also.) You can store it locally or on a
network server so even roaming can work (or centralized
backups) if you wish that.

in the long run you are way better off to get such things our of the
profile altogether - redir My docs to a user folder / network share and
have the java dump there.

You can change this in a GPO at the same place you enabled the setting to
limit the size for 30MB. How ever you may should and want use folder
redirection to redirect Application Data, My Documents out of the profile
and make faster logons and logoffs.

I'm recommend you to have a look at the User Data and Settings Management
paper for possible solutions.

I agree with you on the redirect of application data I am
going to plan this change, but I already have my docs
redirected. Can you change the 30 meg to something else.
The highest it goes via gpo is 30 meg. I think ther is a
reg setting to change the 30 meg to 40 or 50 meg. HOW!!!
