when i trie to change it in display and all that it is set as default monitor and no refresh rate bit and the properties bit isnt highlighted? i cant understand it worked ok b4 i reinstalled it and it works ok in safe mode?

- run xp in safe mode
- uninstall any graphics driver and use default/safe resolution and monitor
- restart xp in normal mode
- download and install a MS certified video driver from your vendor
(sometimes you can find it on windows update, but most of time this way
is crappy)
