help pleaz...my windows bops..when booted....

for about 8-10 seconds..the screen bounces and the icons
do blue bop....have scanned for all new
viruses ..nothing....just posted a min. ago....but i have
spam blocker...saw several new post there but they have
attachments...afraid to open!!!!!!if you can help me
please email me direct..and put in the subject box..have
an answer to xp

To see whether it is the monitor or the computer that is causing the
problem, first disconnect the monitor from the computer. Do you still have
unstable picture on switching on? When the picture is eventually
stabilized, when the air-conditioner is switched on and off, do you detect
any twitching of the screen? I suspect power disruption is the culprit.

If unstable picture on startup only occurs if connected to the computer,
then the power supply unit needs to be checked for output stability. Also,
is your display adapter driver up to date?

Sorry, this is not very helpful, only my educated guess. For better answer,
perhaps you may like to post your question to the hardware newsgroup.
