Last month, I had to reformat my computer. After I reinstalled WinXP, it
gave me the message saying that "Windows needs to be activated within 30
days."
I clicked on activate, but a screen came up saying that windows was already
activated. I didn't think anything of it until today, when the computer said
that I had to activate before proceeding with the boot up, but when I click
on "activate" it just tells me that Windows is already activated, and to
click "OK", but when I click it, I get kicked back off to the log in screen.
I have no way to get onto my computer now. Does any one have any ideas about
what is going on or how to fix it?

I think I would try calling the activation phone number...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/evaluation/features/activation.mspx

"To activate Windows XP over the telephone, you can simply call a toll-free*
number displayed on your screen. A customer service representative will ask
for the installation ID number displayed on the same screen, enter that
number into a secure database, and return a confirmation ID to you. Once you
have typed the confirmation ID, the activation process is complete."
