I have a word form and an excel document with 800 questions one question per
row. In the word form people will be selecting 5 questions out of the 800 in
the Excell file. Is there a way to "Link or Merge" this information, so that
a dropdown box can be created in the form to select the question number and
the question will automatically populate into the form?

No, not easily anyway, and the solution would require VBA knowledge in Word
and either ADO or DAO. Your easiest solution is to use Access. But even then
some VBA knowledge would be required.
